We need to take a quick second to discuss definitions so that you know exactly what you’re actually getting with our SEO packages and why or how they would bring value to your business. So be sure to read through these definitions and let us know if you have any questions.

Optimization

Optimizations are adjustments that we make to the content and architecture of the site that makes it easy for Google to crawl and determine usefulness. Optimizations on any of our SEO packages may pertain to content, keywords, speed, file types and sizes, types and quantity of links, page structuring, site architecture, and more. There are also off-page optimizations we can do do your GBP, your local listings, and more.

Google Business Profile (GBP)

Your GBP is the profile you set up with Google for your business to exist as a business on Google’s platform. Having a GBP allows your business to be indexed into Google Maps, post business updates, and receive and respond to reviews. If you are the type of business that does face to face business with your customers, or one that is locally specific, then it is extremely important to have a highly optimized GBP, post regular updates, and respond quickly to reviews.

Blogs

Blogs are essentially just articles that are specific to your niche. They can be about anything, but the most impactful blogs will contain volume grabbing keyphrases. Blogs should link together throughout your site, and they should be written in a comprehensive way. They’re like the mortar of your site, where your primary pages would be the bricks. They sort of hold the architecture together and make it more like a web, easily crawled by Google bots. Consistent blogging adds to the overall content of your page, keeping you current and relevant. Google likes to see a site that is not stagnant, but rather is updating frequently with fresh useful content.

Domain Rating (DR)

A Domain Rating (DR) is a score given to a site from one of the three major SEO platforms, called “Ahrefs”. Ahrefs runs an analysis on a given site and determines a score to grade the authority of the site. A DR of less than 30 will almost never show up on any given Google search. The higher the DR, the higher the chance the site has of ranking. Our SEO Packages include an initial boost to your DR through organic keyphrase focused backlink campaigns.

Local Listings / Local Platforms

Local listings are listings provided by high authority, trusted, sources that Google checks regularly to pull information from. If Google pulls information about your business that differs from other sources, it may indicate that your business is not keeping up to date records, and may hurt your rankings. We make sure that all of your available local platforms have you listed with the exact same information on each one and we scan this monthly to ensure that you don’t get dropped or otherwise adversly affected.

Google Search Console (GSC)

Your GSC platform is provided by Google and links to your website through code embedding. Once we embed this code into your site, Google will be able to recieve sitemap updates, track site health, provide indexing audits, page error reports, page usability reports, and more. We use the GSC platform to monitor your site’s indexing and site health. When we see that pages are being de-indexed, we are able to go in and manually submit them for indexing. We can also watch for errors that may pop up that will affect your rankings or indexing and correct those to appease the Google algorithms

Crawl

A crawl is the process of a search engine dropping a bot on your site for a scan. It checks for MANY different things during this scan and will report back to the search engine’s algorythms for rankability. The bot will self-replicate at each link it comes across and follows, at which point that new bot will then do the same thing on the new page. This is why it’s important to have solid site architecture, as well as high-quality, do-follow backlinks from credible sources.
